Our vision is for an Australia that seeks and embraces the ideas of young people.
 
True to the idiom "each generation should live better than the last", we believe that the ideas and interests of young Australians should be harnessed and encouraged. Left Right is driving a monumental shift in society's attitude towards the ideas of young people.
 
Most young people are trying to move away from the traditional left right paradigms. Most of us want to be involved in the way our country is being run, and the ideas put forth for our future.
 
As a nation we need to have faith in the virtue of public debate. We are naturally a movement that is passionate about the essence of an idea. Young people are a valuable resource often overlooked by traditional policy makers.
 
All of our policy pieces are developed under the following principles:

• Be based on comprehensive and balanced research;
• Critically review the current situation; we will be lavish with our praise and constructive with our criticism;
• Suggest a reasonable course of action; and
• Engage as many young people as possible.

It is easy for young people can be directly involved in the development of a policy piece by being a member of a project team alongside our policy officers or participating in an event or focus group linked to our policy research.
 
Of course, the reach of the Internet makes it is possible for young people across the country to provide feedback on our policy pieces. From the planning of the project to the presentation of the final policy brief, there are ample opportunities for young people to contribute to public debate with Left Right.
